Jensen followed Jared into the Vancouver, BC branch of Books-A-Million. "Jared, why are we here?"
"I need some books to read during hiatus that won't help fuel the nightmares that Kripke gives us." Jared said leading Jensen to a back corner of the bookstore.
"Oh man you are not serious are you? Bodice rippers?" Jensen stopped in the middle of the aisle.
"Yeah they aren't scary, and there is always a happy ending. What more could I ask for." Jared grabbed the blonds coat and dragged him down the aisle.
"What the ..." Jensen said planting his feet as soon as they got to the romance section's aisle display. "Dude." He said pointing at the copy of their series tie-in books sitting as calmly as it pleases right in the middle of the display among the fake Fabio drawings of the other romance books.
Jared gave a quick glance at the paper backs, "Jen, it was probably someone that just decided they didn't need nightmares this shopping trip." Pointing to the Sci-Fi/Fantasy section right next to them.
Jensen thought it sounded reasonable so he went and claimed the book deciding that it would be fun to see just what the novel writers get Dean and Sam up to, only there wasn't just one lone, misplaced copy. The whole column was of Supernatural novels. He dragged Jared back to the display. "J, look, not just one freaking misplaced copy. It's deliberately set up like Supernatural is a soap or something. Kripke said this one didn't have any romance in it. So don't use that excuse."
"What's your problem, Jen? Our demographic is just as likely to pick up either one of those books."
"My problem is that you are so freaking calm J," Jensen's eyes narrowed a bit, "Why are you so calm?"
Jared closed his eyes and shrunk in on himself a bit, "I guess it's just I don't care. It's Sam and Dean not us that people are seeing. I'll just order some books from Amazon, let's go home."
